Amidst a generation obsessed with winning,
The greatest stories are often found
In the dried bowls of the failed ones,
Held tight with forlorn fingers worn.
The shinning peak of the victor's hill,
Blinds all in the make believe dream,
A hope of reaching the winning streak,
For a failure peeks from us all.
But the true failures are not like you and I,
The faceless masses who have not tasted defeat,
For, to fail, you have first, to try,
And there in lies tales of wondrous misadventures.
So hear not the gallant tales of shinning knights,
Search out the fallen ones,
The victors may indeed write history,
But the losers may write epic tragedies.
P.s. thanks to cold play's fix you, one frosty Christmas Eve :)
