WITH WATER ON HER CHEEK

Splitter splatter there she falls,
On the roof and down the walls,
She searched the road in the hazy hue,
Masked by rain she couldnt see through.

The first few drops are sweet to hear,
Drizzle down the panes so clear,
Washes away the age old dust,
Then she lashes with a furious burst.

The drops of cold made her smile,
Strange it was the joy inside.
Warm eyes with innocent glow,
She ran outside to feel the flow.

The muddy soil stirred beneath,
Brought her close,made her breathe
The memories old locked in gold,
Which she did not wish to unfold.

The rain was sweet and warm and all,
Drops of water made their fall,
Down the forehead and the creek,
As she danced with water on her cheek.
