When I See the Full Moon

When I see the full moon,

She sings to me,

“you haven’t seen my face,

Just the bluish silver hue

That surrounds my holy grace”.

Yet her white angelic light

Does blurr her darkened scars,

With a strange and blissful smile

Of younger and stolen years.

When I see the full moon,

She reads to me,

And I am lost in thought,

Of the crazy nights,

And battles I once fought.

The grey clouds set adrift,

Playing with me hide and seek ,

I stare across with a stupid smile,

I am but a prisoner meek.

When I see the full moon,

She kisses me,

And I drown in her warm felt arms,

Locked up in her enchanted gaze,

I just cant shake her charms.

The soft sweet breeze brushes my hair,

As I lay on the darekend grass,

Staring at her royal self,

She shines like gold on brass.

When I see the full moon,

She smiles to me,

And I writhe in deep felt pain,

All so bright, and yet so far,

I promise never to see her again.

I hate her sweet caramel smile,

All so fake and fixed in time.

But none knows better than me myself,

I’ll still watch again her self sublime.

When I see the full moon,

She speaks to me,

And I pass into a deeper dream,

The dreams of bliss I used to have,

Filled with sugar and lots of cream.

The warmth she gives does touch my heart.

I close my eyes and feel her hands

And as the cruel night does finally pass,

I wait again, lost, in my sands.
