Shut out the lights tonight,
They hurt my eyes,
Let the moonlight drift slowly,
As the the night flowers bloom.
The cool moist blowing breeze,
Brings me a message,
That rains are not far behind,
The earth will breathe afresh.
The soft sounds of songs afar,
The village people sing,
In the dark shadow's kind embrace,
I try to recall thy hymn.
They hurt my eyes,
Let the moonlight drift slowly,
As the the night flowers bloom.
The cool moist blowing breeze,
Brings me a message,
That rains are not far behind,
The earth will breathe afresh.
The soft sounds of songs afar,
The village people sing,
In the dark shadow's kind embrace,
I try to recall thy hymn.
