And where were you,
When the storm clouds came,
And skies turned dark and crimson.
The thunder clouds,
Poured driving rain,
On hills and valleys yonder.
And then it snowed,
The soft white flakes,
Falling in slow motion.
But the winds picked up,
In a short while,
Burying in grey powder.
The rivers ran,
Wild and cold,
Brown and muddy silver,
It forced its way,
Through the quiet vale,
And swept up growing louder.
And it rained and rained,
For seven days,
In the caves up hill all sheltered,
They prayed and cried,
For seven nights,
On eighth the sun did enter.
When the storm clouds came,
And skies turned dark and crimson.
The thunder clouds,
Poured driving rain,
On hills and valleys yonder.
And then it snowed,
The soft white flakes,
Falling in slow motion.
But the winds picked up,
In a short while,
Burying in grey powder.
The rivers ran,
Wild and cold,
Brown and muddy silver,
It forced its way,
Through the quiet vale,
And swept up growing louder.
And it rained and rained,
For seven days,
In the caves up hill all sheltered,
They prayed and cried,
For seven nights,
On eighth the sun did enter.
