The rain crashed down in steady fall,
Dripping red drops from the sword tip,
The hero stood tall.
Flashes of lightning lit up the stretch,
With hungry grinning wolves aligned,
The hero stood alone.
A crackling thunder jolted the frozen deadlock,
He lashed forward with speed unseen,
Swifter than the slanted rain,
He cut left, he cut right,
Till none was left.
At the end of the furious flash,
He stood up again.
Rain drops from the dark above,
Smeared away the darkened stain.
In the field surrounded by death,
He hid his tears in the falling rain.
As he walked towards another field,
He pondered on the fate of his,
Forever alone the heroes are.
Followed by all, but none beside,
Cursed by fate to be strong,
Cannot afford to be wrong.
