When the sun rays do glimmer across the starry seas,
When the drops in the eyes don’t come out with ease,
When the distant din of happiness, rings hope in the minds,
When the happy people prefer to draw their own blinds,
There’s nothing you can do but watch the starry blight,
There is nothing you can do, but waltz in the star light.
The city lights, the hoardings bright are so distant near,
They black out the darkness, but cant rub off the fear.
The star light is serene in its own magnanimous way,
It doesn’t stoop to falsehood, its promises don’t sway.
To clear away the darkness, it promises not,
For wherever there is light, there will also be a blot.
The stars do streak in the darkness dim,
They make you remember the darkness, the whim.
They tell you to embrace the gloom in the minds,
Erasing its presence only tightens the binds.
Lights cast their shadows, the truth has been proven,
Escaping the shadows with light is forbidden.
So lets waltz in the starlight, where the shadows roam free,
So lets waltz in the starlight, our hearts bleeding free.
Lets waltz in the starlight, with darkness all around,
Lets waltz in the starlight where the crickets give the sound,
Let our legs and our minds sway on to the beats,
Let us stop from running and hiding our feats.
Lets waltz in the starlight, where I cant see your face,
Lets waltz in the starlight with beauty and grace.
The starlight is calm and serene and true,
Its shadows keep you warm, and guide you through,
It blinds not your eyes with false happiness,
It blinds not your hearts, with promises to bless.
So lets waltz in the starlight when the night is so true,
Before sun steals it, or clouds engulf the blue.
