When the Angels Burn

The burning roads, the frozen hearts.

The hailing skies, the bloodied lakes.

The blue’s gone, so is the green.

The tint of brown is painted red.

Even angels do burn in the eternal hell.

The once white wings are bloodied red.

The yellow vortex of pain and cry,

Makes u think, makes u faint.

The skies rain fire like it was said.

But it rains more than what was thought.

The Book of John is left ashamed.

For John hadn’t thought of such a shame.

The dusty roads, parched dry fields,

Feed on fear of human soul.

The dried river beds and lakes alike,

Fill up with the tears you have shed.

While one smiles, others cry.

The axes you have to choose

Burns your wings or makes them grow.

The Book of John is left ashamed.

The night is bright, the sky alight.

Not with soothing friendly stars.

But angry groping searching eyes.

The Book of John is left ashamed.

You search for the demons u hate.

Point at the darkest corners u know.

But you always miss the obvious place.

The Book of John smiles with shame.

The angel’s wings are burning bright.

Burning to show you eternal light.

Yet blinded by the glare you choose

You fail to see the burning scars.

The Book of John is left ashamed.

It did say of one dark prince.

Yet thousands are here to claim.

How could a error so gross be made?

You shut your eyes from the glaring truth.

Why be a lion when a ostrich would do?

You shut your eyes in fear of shame.

For u have shamed John himself.

Satan is to be used in plural from now.

When a finger is enough to rain fire,

How do you define who’s who?

The nightmare you create, wasn’t one of John’s.

When the stains of blood on your silverware,

Makes u think, makes u smile.

When u bathe in the red waters of time.

The book of john cries in pain.

The birds do sing a big loud boom.

When the waters do smell of the earth He took.

When the fields are watered by the tears I shed.

The Book of John laughs aloud.

The book of john taunts like a child,

“I told u so”, and I say

“u told the story of one dark prince

Not one of a billion burning angels.”
